1/100 MG MSZ-006-3B Gray Wolf Custom

So it's ... Wednesday now?  Yes.  And into month 1 1/2 of my Gray Wolf conversion.

This suit was featured in the Evolve of Zeta DVD "Misc 10 minute OVAs that came with certain kits" and the Gray Wolf really caught my eye, mostly because it was Yellow, highly customized, and it was piloted by an ex Zeon Ace.

Well, of course with all of my kits, I started slowly.  I planned out what scheme I would do along with which sections I'd take on first, and I came up with the following.

-Yellow was replaced with Brushed Metallic Silver
-Grey was replaced with Silver Leaf
-Black was replaced with German Grey

I started off simple, arms and head, moved through those pieced and got to my favorite part "yea, I know, body should be first." and now I've come to the legs, which are nice and all, but they're such a pain.  SO many places to tape off for two tone colors.

I believe tomorrow I am starting on the back unit and the HUGE mega launcher "its custom variant to the hyper mega launcher" which will be VERY fun, and then the shield.

   -Highlight-
The Gray Wolf emblems on this kit are my favorite part, honestly.  I get to do ultra highlights and shades on them which really make them stand out.  I didn't get a chance to adequately represent the progress I've made, but here are some uploads.  This kit is amazing, I'll keep posting as it comes along.

 -Side notes-
I've also purchased the 20th Anniversary Metallic Coating MG Zeta for my Wife, she happens to be interested in building, so we'll see what she's got once we've moved into our house, and after the Gray's done, I've got the Strike White Zeta from the same series to tackle >:)  So many projects!  I just need another 2.0 MG frame... Hm... Anime convention when I go home!
